In 1993, I came to DataViz with an Associates degree in Advertising and Public Relations, and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing - both from Johnson & Wales University (Providence, RI). I also held a Masters in Organizational Management from Central Connecticut State University (New Britain, CT).

Upon graduation I wanted the same thing everyone else does, a chance to finally show my stuff! I had studied for almost six years and it was time to stop studying and get my career moving.

I decided to accept the offer from DataViz for a couple of reasons:

1. Energy and enthusiasm. The atmosphere at DataViz was extremely energized when I interviewed. I connected immediately to the people here.

2. Industry. I felt technology was the right sector to be in and DataViz had high, quality products.

I can say now, I made a remarkable choice, even if it was partially luck!

I was hired as an entry-level member of the Sales and Marketing group. Since that time I have held many positions that have led me to my current responsibility of running the Marketing Department and one of our Business Units, Documents To Go.

DataViz is very committed to advancing an employee’s career vs. just filling a spot in a certain department. Also, DataViz made sure I stretched each step of the way and this has benefited me tremendously. The overall atmosphere is upbeat and motivating because of this.

In closing I must convey what I believe makes DataViz stand out the most…. the people who make DataViz operate. I trust and admire my DataViz colleagues and also rely on them for other things as well such as, friendship, advice, and a good laugh once in a while.

I could never have planned all the steps I have taken at DataViz, however I have grown with each challenge and I am a better professional (and person) because of this experience.
